The problem with this law proposal is that it attacks the visible consequence and not the cause of the problem. The problem is the aggressive islam, the burka is only its visible manifestation.

I’m deeply shocked by women in burkas, but I don’t think the law is a good solution:

1. Laws should forbid things only when absolutely necessary. If we ban burka now, we make a precedent. What next ? A T-shirt with Che ?
2. It will not work. How will police enforce such law ? They will strip those women by force ?
3. The law will create a symbol for the protest. Even women, who would not otherwise wear it, will start.
